Audit and Risk Committee

 

 
The Board has also established an Audit and Risk Committee (a Board sub-committee). The role of the Audit and Risk Committee is to ensure that appropriate controls are in place, and that risks are identified and managed to protect the operations of the OYH-RC. The membership of the Committee is:

 

 

Mr Graham Brooke AM
Director, OYHRC
(Chairman)
Graham Brooke is a Director of Colonial Foundation Ltd.
He was a partner in Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) until 1987 and was national Deputy Chairman from 1976. He has served as a board member of Colonial Ltd, NatWest Australia Bank Ltd and as Chairman of Victorian Funds Management Corporation and Health Super Pty Ltd. From 1994 to 2000 he was administrator of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria. He has served as a board member of the Queen Victoria Medical Centre and Prince Henry’s Hospital, and was the inaugural President of the Monash Medical Centre.
  
Mr Stephen Marks
Risk Management, Melbourne, RSM Bird Cameron
Director, Probity Services
Stephen Marks is one of Australia’s foremost experts in probity services to the public sector with nearly 20 years experience. He has worked on some of the largest and most complex government projects in the country, including engagements in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Tasmania.
Stephen is also an experienced Chartered Accountant with in excess of 30 years experience in public practice, acting as a consultant and financial adviser to both public and private sectors. He also has extensive hands on business and management experience and has sat on a number of government boards. Stephen joined, as an independent consultant, RSM Bird Cameron in October 2007 after previously working in his own practice.
 
Mr John Warburton
Company Director
John Warburton is a Certified Practicing Accountant and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is Chairman of Australian Wealth Management Ltd, Aquaspy Group Pty Ltd and a Director of Health Super Financial Services Pty Ltd, Living & Leisure Australia Ltd and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Ltd. John is a Trustee of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust and he is a member of various audit committees. 
John Warburton has held many previous appointments including as Chairman of the Port of Hastings Corporation, Vision Super and the Good Governance Advisory Group. He has been a Director of Foundation Boroondara, and Reward Insurance Ltd and was Chief Commissioner of the City of Moreland.
